Annual Adopt-A-Family Program

CSC Annual Adopt-A-Family Program

Please join the CSC as we partner with the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence (WRCDV) this holiday season.

As in years past, the CSC will receive wish lists for families who are receiving assistance from the WRCDV this holiday season.  The mission of the WRCDV is to create a society in which domestic violence no longer exists.

If your department or program wishes to participate in the Adopt-A-Family program, please notify Neema Oliver at nolive3@emory.edu and specify your preferred family size (small, medium, or large) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  (Departments were provided with this information via e-mail on October 25th, 2017.)

Participating departments will be assigned a family and will need to bring their donations to the CSC by mid-December.  The CSC will deliver the items to the WRCDV.

DID YOU KNOW:

--More than 100 Georgians are killed every year in domestic violence homicides.

--30% of women in Georgia between the ages of 14 and 44 have been assaulted by an intimate partner at least once.

--The FBI reports that a woman is beaten every nine seconds in the United States.

For support with domestic violence, please call 404-688-9436.
