Deadline for 2011 Emory College Dean's Enrichment Award Application: Friday, 11/4/11

Purpose
The Dean’s Enrichment Award is designed to provide an opportunity for Emory College staff members to enhance their professional development in support of the mission of the University.  Funding will be provided for appropriate activities including, but not limited to:

• coursework
• membership to professional organizations
• conference travel
• registration fees for skill-enhancing courses
• books for those employees enrolled in classes
• job-related language training

Awards will be announced on or before December 4, 2011.

Eligibility
Any current and graded Emory College staff employee – post-doctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduate student employees are not eligible.

Award Guidelines
The maximum award is $500.00 per recipient.  Within 30 days of utilizing the award, the recipient must submit receipts for reimbursement and a briefly written report of the development to the CSC (for the Dean).   The award must be utilized within this fiscal year.  Award reimbursements must be submitted and processed by August 15, 2012 or the award will be forfeited.

Priority will be given to those who have not previously won an Emory College Dean’s Enrichment Award.  First consideration for awards will be for persons attending professional development training or seminars that will directly enhance the individual’s current skill set relevant to their current position at Emory.  Please consider using internal Emory resources, such ashttp://ece.emory.edu/index.cfm, versus external resources.

Application Requirements
The application must include:

1. A brief biography of your employment at Emory
2. A description and goals of the project
3. A budget
4. How the award will assist in supporting the mission of Emory or improving your career
